Bradley Beach is nestled between Avon-by-the-Sea Beach and Ocean Grove Beach. Bradley Beach is nice and clean with crystal clear water. The boardwalk is small; only a mile long. The boardwalk is paved giving it a unique look from all the other boardwalks. I think this is the only paved boardwalk on the Jersey Shore. There are no shops or arcades. You can buy food at the Pavilion. There is a miniature golf course called Shipwreck Island which is right on the boardwalk on Ocean Park Avenue. There’s a playground on Park Place Avenue. There is a small maritime forest, which is about 1/2 an acre. It is named in honor of Julie Schreck, who was the mayor of Bradly Beach from 2008-2012. She played an important role in setting the restoration project in motion. This area used to be for parking and storage of lockers, but was rebuilt in 2013 into this small maritime forest after Hurricane Sandy the year before. There are over 20 different kinds of trees, shrubs and grasses. “These plants help protect against storms, reduce sand and debris going into Fletcher Lake, provide habitat and beautify the area.” I found all this very interesting! There’s another lake called Sylvan Lake which divides Avon on the South with Bradley Beach to the North and there is a small park there.

On a 60 degree day, my friends and I were relaxing on the beach quietly. 2 cops come up to us and ask us what is in our cups (non alcoholic) we don’t tell Then I because it’s none of their business. They walk away saying “we won’t ticket you this time but expect a ticket next time” 2 days later we all receive a $150 ticket in the mail. My cousin also received a ticket after entering the beach after the occurrence

By far,one of the cleanest and neatest beaches and boardwalks I’ve ever seen. I travel extensively for work,so I’ve seen a few,all over this country. Kudos to all who maintain and take care of this gem, your pride is evident everywhere and very much appreciated. Thanks for making my Sunday morning sunrise incredibly beautiful and peaceful!! I’ll be back for the sunset. Again, thanks to all of you in Bradley Beach!

This is a nice beach, but I like a beach that has a longer boardwalk so you can enjoy a good run or walk with the beautiful scenic ocean view. The boardwalk is an old-fashioned style and has ball shaped lights for your evening enjoyment. The beach closest to the Shark River Inlet is called the “L” jetty and is popular for its good surf. You can also fish off the inlet jetty. They have a playground for the children and a snack stand, but there are no arcades. Dogs are allowed on the beach from Oct.1 – May 1.

Beautiful day on the boardwalk. Love the new colors on the painted benches and light posts – very beachy. Nice restaurant right in the middle of the boardwalk. Very chilled.

It was such a cool beach! We saw plenty of small schools of fish, tiny baby crabs, and big blue fish when you went further in! Staff like lifeguards and security were really friendly and knowledgeable to the best of their abilities about ocean life and what we could do there. I had such a great time here will definitely be coming back!

Next up on visiting the beaches on the Jersey Shore is Manasquan Beach. Manasquan has a mile long asphalt boardwalk, not the prettiest, but it is sturdy and has withstood many storms. You can run, walk or ride your bike. There are beautiful homes along the boardwalk, some of them are summer homes. There are places to eat along the boardwalk and there is also an arcade. It’s a pretty long beach, nice and clean. There is a playground on the beach. There’s a great surfing beach at the Manasquan Inlet. It gets very crowded during the summer and parking can be a challenge. It’s very peaceful and relaxing sitting on the benches by the inlet watching the boats go in and out. It’s beautiful, especially at sunrise or sunset. There are two popular restaurants at the Inlet, Carlson’s Corner and the Riverside Café. There is a dog beach called Fisherman’s Cove on 391 3rd Ave in Manasquan. All dogs must be on a leash. You can go fishing and there is a path for walking, but dogs are not permitted on this path. There is plenty of beach for the dogs anyway to enjoy. The only thing that I didn’t like was the many pieces of broken glass along the shore line. I did find a scallop shell! I’ve never seen one this big!

One of the better beaches on the Jersey shore. The town has some nice shops for the ladies. And Qua Pizza is awesome.

Manasquan is a special place. The beaches are beautiful, clean, and magical. There are lots of lifeguard stands, and even the young life guards take pride in what they do and actually pay attention to the people in the water. I have a lot of kids, and we always go to Manasquan beaches.
There is also a good mix of fun crowded beaches, and some more empty beaches. So you can always get what you’re looking for. There isn’t a fancy boardwalk with rides, but there are a few good places to eat, reasonably cleanly public bathrooms, and a nicely paved walk.
Parking is difficult on weekends

We stopped for a quick night time visit to the shore. The sound of my kids giggling and squealing was the most beautiful sound imaginable. It was stunning area, very clean and welcoming. We can’t wait to return next summer.

This beach is super clean. Beach well maintained, no debris on sand or in water. Monmouth Beach allows coolers on beach. There is a Pavilion with tables and umbrellas where you and the family can sit and eat lunch. There is also a food concession to purchase food, snacks and beverages. Love the beach front parking (There is a fee), makes life easier, especially with families with youngsters.

Excellent dog beach on the manasquan side.
I highly suggest you bring your dogs here.
But follow local laws and keep your dogs on a leash, warden will enforce it.

The perfect beach playground. All sorts of swings, including bucket b swing, two separate side for smaller and older kids, beside the parking lot, but fenced off. Beach is two minutes away, restroom is one minute. Shade for the grown-ups. Lots of benches too. The ground under the toys is covered with gummi

Spacious, clean and lots for kids to play on. A nice break from the beach. Wish some of it was covered though. Parking can be difficult.
